Book Synopsis
We live in an age that prides itself on skepticism. Doubt
is often seen as more sophisticated than faith, and ques‐
tions are sometimes valued more than answers. Yet
beneath the surface of modern skepticism lie questions
that simply will not go away—questions that resist
dismissal, that demand a deeper foundation than unbelief
can provide. These are the unanswerables of the skeptic’s
worldview.
This book is not written to mock or belittle those who
doubt. In fact, Christians themselves are called to wrestle
honestly with the deepest questions of existence. Rather,
this book aims to show that while skepticism raises chal‐
lenges to faith, it also faces its own challenges—questions
that only the Christian worldview can adequately
address.

Preface
Why is there something rather than nothing? Why
does the universe obey rational and mathematical laws?
Why does life exist, consciousness emerge, morality bind,
beauty move, or love endure? Why do human beings long
for meaning, justice, and hope beyond the grave? And
above all, what do we do with the life, death, and resur‐
rection of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whose shadow still
stretches across history?
Christians through the centuries—Augustine,
Aquinas, Pascal, Calvin, Lewis, and many others—have
pressed these questions upon the human heart. Their
voices remind us that the gospel does not "ee from
inquiry; it confronts it. The Christian faith does not
silence reason; it satis#es it.
This book is o$ered as both challenge and invitation:
challenge to the skeptic, who must face the unanswerable
weight of unbelief, and invitation to the seeker, who may
#nd in Christ the coherence, beauty, and truth for which
every heart was made.
May these pages help you to think deeply, question
honestly, and discover that the answers the human soul
longs for are found not in the shifting sands of skepticism,
but in the solid rock of Jesus Christ.
