Book Synopsis
The Right to Life, our most basic and important right was clearly stated in our Declaration of Independence: “We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
It is not wealth and technology that should define a civilization but our morals, our principles, our compassion, our generosity, and most of all our willingness to protect and defend the sanctity of human life, no matter how young or old, weak or strong, large or small, no matter our skin color, our beliefs, and our convictions. When government or individuals can decide who may live and who must die, we are no longer one nation under God, with Liberty and Justice for All.
If we can summarily take the life of an innocent defenseless human being, we can justify taking the life of anyone for any reason. Roe v Wade put aside 186 years of precedence, our Judeo-Christian values, our history, our culture, and our future.
History will not judge us by our skyscrapers, our monuments, our technological achievements, or our conquests; history will judge us by how we valued life, our liberties, and our ability to pursue happiness, as God and our Constitution intended.
