Book Synopsis
The nine kingdoms of Men, Elves and Dwarves in Mid-Realm have become slave states of the evil Empire. To maintain control over his subjects, the Emperor has conjured the first dragon to be seen in these lands in a thousand years. The Alliance, which was the last bastion of hope for freedom, has been all but wiped out. Princess Ayla of Stroe House returns from a diplomatic mission to the southern regions in an attempt to revive the rebellion. She carries with her an amulet that is said to disclose the location of the weapon that could end the beast before it can eradicate hope forever: The sword of Tagon, the Last DragonSlayer.
