‘Welcome to the year 3099. A time of unprecedented transformation.’
Earth has been shifted off its access by an unexpected asteroid & life as we once knew it, has drastically changed. Now divided into two halves, The Upper & The Lower are a stark contrast.
Due to this catastrophic event, there is now a shortage of fertile living space. Only the privileged, known as ‘The Uppers’ are permitted to live North of the Great Wall. ‘The Lowers’ are forced to live on the barren South Side.
But this year, a promising change may be on the horizon.
A larger than life, live worldwide dating competition has captured the hearts of billions! A sort of ’Hunger Games’ meets ‘The Bachelor’ with a ‘Willy Wonka’/ ‘Star Wars’ tone.
Winner gets the ultimate prize, a life on the Upper Side, love & the right to procreate.
Losers are forbidden Upper birthrights, banished from the Northern Utopian Society and forced to live amongst the lowlives on the Lower South Side of the Great Wall.
Population control as well as entertainment are the objectives.
