Elections for mayor in St. Ives, Ohio, are usually sedate affairs, until Simon Bork, a wealthy man of bigoted views, decides to toss his hat into the ring. Suddenly, the fall of 1926 shapes up to be the most frightening season the townspeople have seen in years -- especially when death becomes part of the election. James Farrahi has to lead another murder investigation as tensions fracture his hometown. This is the sixth in the Detective Farrahi series.
