Book Synopsis
The Pioneer Football League is the premier youth and young adult football league in the New York City metropolitan area. We put together a 5 year commemorative book with a full summary of the last 5 years of PFL football. Photos of all of our major events and other activities as a keepsake for all of our PFL family. A celebration and documentation of 5 great years of keeping kids of the streets and doing positive in our community.
The Pioneer Football League started as an idea that a few youth and Minor League team owners who were looking improve the conditions of football in the New York City area. In December of 2011, David Patterson started the process of incorporating, financing, and building the brand to establish the standards in which the Pioneer Football League has demanded since its inception. That vision was and still remains to provide quality programs to under-served communities.

The success of the PFL brand can be attributed to three things.

First, providing team owners with support and the tools to run quality programs. Second, providing players with their version of an NFL with the best media coverage and respect for their sacrifices on and off the field. Last, a dedication to written rules and a structure of governing the league.

With a very successful 2012 and 2013 season which included extensive travel and the establishment of a fun and positive competitive atmosphere, the PFL name transformed from the “new kid on the block” to a force that the area was watching to push the envelope.
