There were about two million allied soldiers who fought in France in WWII. This is the story about one of them, my father, Casper (Jack) Alagna. It is a personal memoir once removed.
After my father passed, I wanted to know more about what he went through and where he was. This is that story. Memoirs about WWII France are hard to come by. This is a GI’s story before, during, and after the greatest war.
Read it to understand more about:
- the Army in WWII France,
- The 5th Division,
- Patton’s Third Army, and,
- World War II
