McDonnel-Hamilton Newlin-Moore A Family History
This is a history of the ancestors and relatives of my mother’s family. Margaret Ann (McDonnel) Coleman was the fifth surviving daughter of Lucius Ellsworth “Elzie” McDonnel from Mercer County, Ohio and Anna Mae “Annie” (Newlin) McDonnel from Orange County, Indiana. The Hamilton name in the title is Elzie’s mother, Ida Melvina (Hamilton) McDonnel. The Moore name is Annie’s mother, Permelia Adeline (Moore) Newlin.
A book about the complete history of our McDonnel, Hamilton, Newlin, and Moore Families is well beyond my knowledge and capabilities, so I have limited this book to our earliest documented ancestors and some of their descendants. I added their parents if I knew their names. Sometimes I added a little historical background.
