Book Synopsis
Kansas City is in ruins from an alien invasion. Sela Davenport and a small band of survivors have taken shelter at the Liberty Memorial overlooking the city center. But as Sela struggles with her own culpability in the Dalon strike, she must overcome a growing despair, faulty memories, and the betrayal of her closest ally. Hoping to build a resistance force over the coming winter, she convinces the group to head for the storage caves on the bluffs of the Missouri River. What she finds in the caves will shake her to the core.
