I Knew deep down she wanted to call the police, we both did, but the the fear was too great-it paralyzed us. Instead, like many nights, we buried ourselves under the covers, clenched our faces tightly together,closed our eyes, and quietly cried ourselves to sleep.
You Don't Know My Story, The Pain Producing Purpose, is an intimate story of my profound will to live. In the book I share in detail the first eighteen years of my life. During that time, I was a victim of abuse, physical and sexual assault. I struggled to cope and heal for over twenty years because my pain was silenced. The purpsoe of me sharing my story is to urge other survivors to be their own advocate, by seeking professional help to deal with trauma. Do not allow anyne to hide your story or silecne your pain. Lastly, forgivneness played a vital role in my healing. I know forginvenssis often judged as a cowardly act however, forgivneness takes courage and strength. It is the key that reelases a survivors chains.
