Fortune Cookie Fever is set in 1980s--Old Chinatown. A modest, family-run restaurant, known for its unbeatable food and prices, the Lucky Dragon Restaurant harbors an extraordinary secret: every fortune cookie contains a prophecy that is guaranteed to come true.
Living above the restaurant is the Wu family—three generations stacked into a tiny apartment, bound by tradition, chaos, and love. Patriarch Wang Lei Wu, known as Henry, rules both household and business with quiet authority, guided by an unseen magical force—especially when deciding who earns the privilege of a reservation.
After closing, Henry and his wife Rose perform the restaurant’s most sacred ritual. Using an ancient Fire Dragon statue and a forbidden spell book, they handcraft the fortune cookies nightly, infusing each with magic. No shortcuts are allowed, because every fortune—good or bad—must be fulfilled. A satirical supernatural mystery in the vein of The Twilight Zone meets Fresh Off the Boat, Fortune Cookie Fever proves that every fortune has a price—and everyone gets what they deserve.
