This is the fifth volume in the five volume series about Ernie Chickalucas's life as he plans to undertake an expedition to America. He accepts a job as a deckhand on a cruise ship to pay for his trip. He obtains the necessary travel documents and chronicles his activities on the voyage from Athens to New York Harbor. On arrival in America, Ernie settles on a farm where his uncle and aunt from Santorini Island have established a home on the Willow Spring Farm in the green picturesque New York countryside where he plans to remain.
