Book Synopsis
On a bright, sunny February day a few years ago, my neighbor and I were planting rose bushes in the front yard. In the street, we saw a very handsome young white dog that was running loose. Out of fear the animal might be lost or worse, someone in a car might hit him, we brought him into the yard and closed the driveway gate. Eighteen years later, the animal had grown lame and had to be put to rest. This story of White Dog became one of notoriety throughout the neighborhood and a certain topic of discussion daily around the dinner table, a love-hate topic of conversation. All-in-all, White Dog brightened the lives of us and our children in ways that we won't easily dismiss. Children who have had a pet under similar circumstances will surely get a kick out of this pictorial. White Dog, the Vagabond!
