Book Synopsis
Birding is fun! Plain and simple. Which is why in the United States alone, an estimated 40 to 60 million people identify themselves as bird watchers. To appreciate, understand, and enjoy the bird life around them, birders must rely on
their ability to instantly recognize their fine feathered friends.

Identifying birds quickly and easily is not only one of the biggest frustrations birders experience; it is also the singular focus of this book.

Best-selling author John C. Robinson helps you to discover ...

** The 10 Key Principles to bird identification
** John's "Bicycle Wheel Method" for learning bird songs
** How to calibrate binoculars to match your unique pair of eyes
** Strategic exercises that help transform the theory of bird identification into learned behaviors that happen automatically each time you see a new bird
** Bird song descriptions & mnemonics for our most popular songbirds

“A system for improving one’s bird identification skills needs to be comprehensive, integrated, easy to read, and readily duplicated. In Tweet, Flutter, and Squawk!, John C. Robinson hits the target every time.”
– Kenn Kaufman, Editor, Kaufman Field Guides series
