Book Synopsis
This volume consists of a dozen different short stories. The assortment begins with remembering a glimpse of the past in My Sailor. It is a short, yet bittersweet memory. Then you can join a man in Walk in the Woods as he tramps through the woods to see his love. The stories slowly get longer, the further into the book. I will admit there are a lot of different types of characters. Painted Lady and The Visitors were a bit of fun. I wish I could have continued with Pony, a cute story from long ago. Only the names were real people. A Ghost in the Kitchen would be handy. I wrote a bit of a twist where you can add your own expletives as you read in Bleep. A husband solves the problem of a nagging wife in Dethroning a Queen and a bachelor finds love in Echo in the Snow. If you read the Julia series, you may find Anna’s Lost Summer a refreshing add-on. Set in the roaring twenties, parents have trouble with their teenage daughter. My most recent work, A Cowboy’s Tale, is my first try at a western, mail-order-bride tale. Last, but not least, is a very condensed version of my family’s shot at going Back to the Land. It is a true story, whereas, except for My Sailor, the others are just figments of my imagination.
About The Author
I have been writing for several years, spending my forced retirement in front of the computer and loving it. Although it’s called a Dusty Trunk, I haven’t been writing long enough for it to gather appreciable dust.
I live in the country in Middle Tennessee with my husband, two dogs and an outdoor cat. Most of my time, besides writing, I spend gazing out of the window from my bedroom that I lovingly refer to as my womb. I’m also an avid bird watcher with my camera and Crossley ID Guide nearby.
