Book Synopsis
It all started with a trip to Meadow Park and a chance meeting with a very sad giant purple snail. The snail was just looking for a friend; at least that's what she said. Through her tears she convinced the children to take a ride on her back... just to show they were truly friends. Oh, the skills she showed; an artist of words and persuasion.
Now, stolen away to a far off volcanic island the children were forced to grow the snail's favorite foods. The children were not feeling so trusting anymore. But there was this huge lava man living in the volcano. He had a gruff voice and was kind of stern, yet, there was something about him. This is a story about the kind of love and sacrifice that builds a family and a community.
Many very convincing voices are trying to guide the hearts and minds of our children. This book helps children understand who to trust and who not to trust.
