Book Synopsis
In this book we introduce you to Sister Maria Celeste Crostarosa, a marvelous mystic of the eighteenth century, whose message still has a lot to say to our twentieth century.
Today, we are seeing a new openness toward the prayer life in all its many forms. People long to satisfy that deep hunger hidden in all of us for union with the divine. It is in this area that Maria Celeste has something to offer. She is a mystic who believes that prayer, in all its forms, from beginning to end, is a gradual deepening of a union which already began with God’s loving creation of us in His own image. Its natural direction and, if we are faithful to prayer, its natural terminus is divine union with the Trinity, through the life of Jesus, with his Holy Spirit accomplishing the work within us.
