Book Synopsis
This is a story about all sorts of animals who are getting ready to celebrate their yearly Flying Contest which happens just up the next hill. Randolf Rabbit is pulling a red wagon stuffed with all sorts of paraphernalia, which is of course his flying contraption. He makes a little friend along the way, Anthony Porcupine, who helps him with his wagon. When they get to the top of the hill where the contest will be held, they see that lots and lots of other animals have already arrived. He and his new friend get the Randolf’s flying machine ready. There are six official contestants who have entered; they will all fly – one at a time – and then be judged as to time and accuracy. Every contestant has his challenges and triumphs, each in a different kind of flying contraption. When the contest comes to an end, there will be prizes and then a picnic.
