Book Synopsis
This book is the long awaited follow up and revision of its predecessor, "The Descendants of Guinea Jim - Gibsons of Savannah Sound, Eleuthera, Bahamas." It became necessary to incorporate the many historical finds and correct some unintentional errors and omissions. The massive amounts of new information also made it necessary to break this work into volumes. This volume will chronical the first three generations and their children with future volumes focusing on descendants of the children and/or grandchildren.
While Guinea Jim remains the earliest known ancestor of the Savannah Sound Gibson family, he is not a Gibson nor exclusive to the Gibson family. He is the father of nine and patriarch for several of Savannah Sound's founding families, including the Bullard, Culmer, Gibson, Sands, and Thompsons. Hisexact relationship to these families was also the subject of the proof argument presented in the "Legend of Guinea Jim."
