Volume One of a two volume series. Volume One contains two books. Book I: "South Carolina Lowcountry Spirituals" and Book II: "Dolfus' Lament and Other Songs." The South Carolina Lowcountry Spirituals were collected and arranged by Luke Peeples over a period of many years. All are in authentic Gullah dialect. Book II contains other original works using authentic Gullah dialect, and other original, non-Gullah pieces for voice and piano. 50 pages, 8 1/2 x 11, professional editing and calligraphy, spiral bound.
