Dr. Delena King is an entrepreneur, educator, advocate, and now an author. She was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and considers her faith and family the most important parts of her life. Delena's advocacy for children began when she became a Parent as Teachers - Parent Educator, helping parents to understand their encouragement at the youngest ages would help improve their child’s school readiness. This was a key reason for her writing her first book, The African American ABC Book.
Dr. King, no only wrote, The African American Bilingual Book: Learning Together in English and Spanish: Two Languages, One Book; but has written several books: The African American ABC Book and Trace and Discover: Fun Letter Tracing for Little Learners: Practice for children focusing on pencil control, line tracing, letters and more. She is in the process of writing many more children books.
