Swing Low

I had the opportunity to read Swing Low before it hit the bookstore. Jenni Johnson chose me to read her book and write a review about it. So...this book is unlike her first book Hollow Girl. This one is about swingers named Mandy and Dane and their adventures. At first Mandy and Dane seem like a pretty normal couple...and they seem like they are doing well. But as the book goes on, cracks in their relationship start to appear and Mandy finds herself drawn to their family doctor. The manipulation Mandy engages in with her husband to get the doctor into their bed honestly made me a bit angry. Its obvious she is obsessed with him and at points I really wanted to shake Mandy and tell her to get it together. As the book continued things got really, really crazy. I don't want to give anything away, but this book packs a real punch at the end and hits you with the unexpected. Of course, I am a big fan of Slut-Problems, and Jenni. I love her writing on Tumblr and I enjoyed her first book. Honestly...this is the best piece of writing I have seen from her. Congratulations on a wonderful novel Jenni. If you love Jenni on Slut-Problems you will love Swing Low. This story will stick with me for a long time.
