Reflections in a Shattered Mind

Even though the mirror is shattered you can still see your reflection. Janet wrote these poems during the period 1977 to 1990 during therapy sessions as a love letter to herself as she tried to put the shattered pieces back together. As her daughters, I went through many of her poems and chose the ones as my love letter back to her. I have a better understanding of a woman who did her best even when she thought her best wasn't good enough. From invent a meals, crafts, her love of books and her endless writings in her beloved journals, she was our mother and she did the best.
