Annie Ruth is a nationally acclaimed visual artist/poet, author and performing artist and is active within the community, leading causes that impact women, children, the arts, and literacy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a business studies minor from National University in San Diego, California. Her work has impacted countless people across the United States and internationally. She speaks in national forums such as Speaking of Women's Health, the National Council of Negro Women, Radio One Women's Expos and numerous other civic and community venues, addressing topics relevant to embracing positive self-esteem, sisterhood. Several of her awards include the Athena International Leadership Award, YWCA Career Woman of Achievement Cincinnati Enquirer Woman of the Year and a featured black history vignette on Fox Network by Tyra Banks.
