Ijayla Metcalfe is a 20 year old Woman born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This sentimental, poetic book is a short story of tragic battles Ijayla went through and or seen her loved ones experience. These events tell a short story that puts you in the middle of the story. Finding her way through this thing called life, becoming more intact with her purpose by exploiting the guilt, pain, and doubt, she speaks her truth overcoming self harm, grief, and a loved ones addiction, Ijayla grows increasingly through her trauma and seeks self-healing.
As some moments may hit close to home you will start to imagine yourself in the characters shoes. You can find yourself growing alongside with the character and Author. There are different stories of this novel that speak out to everyone, this novel is not for a specific crowd, many will enjoy reading and growing with the author through these stories all while embracing the traumatic experiences and embracing self love.
About The Author
My name Is Ijayla Metcalfe, I am 20 years old I have been writing this novel for over 4years and finally completed it! This novel has been one of my biggest fears as well as one of my biggest accomplishments. As I wrote these stories I began to realize how strong & powerful I have became within the years of me growing. These short stories are tragic parts that took place in my life from a little girl up until high school. These stories are sentimental to me as to I have no discussed any of the events with any of my peers. Writing this novel has given me the courage to speak up for myself & others. As you read these stories I hope you can get to know me for my good & bad, for my past, present, & future.
