Book Synopsis
“Out My Window” tells remarkable stories of seemingly unremarkable people: a man who owned the world’s biggest flag, a woman test pilot, a couple married for 63 years, a woman who practices a lost art, and more. It also shares philosophies and true stories from the author herself: her attempt at bungee jumping, the secret garden she found in India, what it’s like to lose a pet or kill a mouse. This book is a collection of weekly columns by Darlene Ott that ran in the Mountain Democrat, an El Dorado County newspaper, for 2 years, 1990 - 1992. Funny, poignant, surprising stories, all of them true.
