Book Synopsis
Even though Karen was raised within a couple of two-parent households ( her parents and grandparents) her insight about marriage was very limited. She began her lessons in the early stages of, “for better or worse and in sickness and in health” some of which made her feel like “til death do us part”. As Karen reflects on some of the incidents that were the downfalls of her marriage, she also gives insight on how she was also able to utilize those areas of despair to develop her strength, self-love, and a personal relationship with God. Join her as she declares her freedom from what once held her bond.

At a young age, just like many girls I had my own vision of marriage. The envisioning of the love-filled plot and the story book ending was what I had in mind.

After being proposed to and receiving the wisdom and counsel of my father, I began on what is now my 22 year (2021) journey in the union of Holy Matrimony. However, someone along the way my dreams turned into a nightmare that I didn’t see coming.

Follow me through some of the lies, deception, and infidelity. Then continue with me as I build a relationship with God and myself through prayer, realization, self love and never-ending hope. Identify with how I learned about what my daddy meant when he said, “Marriage is hard work suga pie.”
