Book Synopsis
If you have satisfactorily completed Levels 1A through 4B, absorbed the information and the guitar mechanics then you are ready for Level 5A.
You can already read and speak music, and have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of music theory applied to the guitar. Best of all, you can play!
Levels 5A and 5B will expand your knowledge of the neck. We will be moving up the neck to the 5th and 6th positions and learning to smoothly and efficiently connect the 1st through 5th positions utilizing all 12 keys in both the Ionian (major) and Aeolian (relative minor) modes. You will further see repeating finger patterns making it easier to learn and have more “AHA” moments along the way.
Following suit from the prior books, Level 5 will incorporate learning the 12 major and relative minor scales, arpeggios, and chord knowledge into the 5th and 6th positions. We will be working with color tones and you will learn new ways to play chords in your new positions.
