Book Synopsis
This chapbook, written for my intro to creative writing class, began as an assignment, but it quickly became a study of how I see the world. Broken into two sections, these works represent “notes” I would have taken from lessons in psychology classes.
As a student studying psychology, I have always been fascinated by why people think, feel and act the way they do, but I have found that much of the learning in psychology begins where the textbook ends. This collection takes the reader through stories beginning with the concepts of self-understanding and becoming, and ends with loss, and reflection. The stories come partly from what I have learned about psychology in class, but more than that, they are what I have learned about myself and how I see the world through my own experiences.
