Book Synopsis
Kathá is a set of three poems by Filipino literary giant José Corazón de Jesús, fondly known as Huseng Batute. The 20th Century poet used his poetry as a celebration of the life, land, and culture of the Philipines, as well as an expression of the people's desire for national independence. This setting of his lesser-known poems to music is a continuation de Jesús' legacy and brings his poetry to the choral art form.
