Book Synopsis
My recent questioning of “Normal” has found me reclaiming my desire to speak truth and healing into the world. Then during the lockdowns of 2020 poetry reintroduced itself to my life. As I opened up to sharing my voice vulnerably and publicly, I found myself accepted and appreciated in ways I had only dreamt of while I was hiding the fullness of my Truth, questioning yet trying to follow the rules I had been taught of who, what and how I should be and believe to be successful and happy. Finding the courage to risk challenging and changing my Normal is paying huge dividends! I want to share this journey with you!
Making these poems and the experiences, ideas and values they express public is my declaration that I have come home to myself! I choose to speak up and share my voice so that others know They Are Not Alone! We are and will be the Warrior Poets, together healing and growing by challenging perspectives and changing Normals.
And me? I am finally No Longer Afraid of the Dark.
