Book Synopsis
Just Like January is the second collection of poems created by Chance Mitchell. A poet from the south side of Chicago. This collection is broken up into two volumes. Chance focuses on different ideas regarding love. Platonic, romantic, unhealthy, yearning, and everything in between. Talking of his current philosophies when it comes to what he believes love is. And being a passive observer of what others may view love to be or what it could be. Heartbreak, triumph, denial, questioning, perseverance, and nostalgia. All these things and more will be explored by Chance and reflected upon as he takes you on his second body of work. He also wants people to question their perceptions of love. The love that they experience currently and the love that people may have lost. Due to lack of experience, age, or general failure. What things will you pull from these two volumes?
