Book Synopsis
Holy Communion (a.k.a. The Eucharist, The Divine Liturgy) transcends time and the world. It is the holiest act of worship. When celebrated, all Believers around the world are united in worship in the Kingdom of God along with the departed saints and the angels of heaven. Everything in The Divine Liturgy is symbolic, but not merely so, because it makes present the unseen reality. The liturgy's roots go back to the adaptation of Jewish liturgy by early Eastern Christians. Holy Communion, The Divine Liturgy, is the center of worship as we participate. Through faith and act, we become one Body in Christ. The consecrated bread and wine are the Body and Blood of Christ. Through joint participation, we become mystical members of Christ's Body, which is the Church.
