Book Synopsis
Arthur Clawson created an unpublished work titled "Freighting Pioneers" that had 13 chapters. Each chapter was based on preserved family documents. Chapter 9 consisted of a transcribed tape recorded interview that took place while viewing old photographs in 1982. This standalone version of Chapter 9, named "Freighting Pioneers, Chapter 9 Revisited," contains all the photographs absent from the original Chapter 9. Both the transcribed interview and the photos benefit from their combined presentation. The main audience for the book is the descendants of the elders revealed in the photos and text. They were pioneer residents in northeastern Elko County, Nevada. Anyone interested in the early history of that corner of Nevada will find this book worth reading.
