Before there was fragrance, there was myrrh.
Crowned in Glory: Volume I — The Myrrh Season is a six-month guided spiritual formation workbook inspired by Esther’s season of preparation before she entered the next phase of her destiny. It invites women into the often-hidden work that takes place before transformation becomes visible.
Across 24 weeks of teaching, reflection, prayer, journaling, declarations, and practical exercises, Bishop Dr. Sandra D. Brooks guides women through a progressive journey of inner healing and spiritual formation.
The journey begins with Surrender, learning what must be placed on the altar and what can no longer be carried into the future. From there, Confession & Repentance creates space for honest self-examination without condemnation, moving beyond regret toward genuine redirection.
Forgiveness then addresses the wounds inflicted by others, carefully distinguishing forgiveness from denial, reconciliation, restored trust, and unrestricted access. Women are invited to name their wounds, recognize layers of woundedness, release emotional debts, and carry forward wisdom without remaining bound to bitterness.
In Breaking Cycles, the focus shifts from individual wounds to recurring patterns. Participants learn to recognize cycles, identify the beliefs and experiences feeding them, find points of interruption, and intentionally choose healthier responses.
Walking in New Patterns moves the journey from interruption to transformation. Women begin replanting truth, bringing beliefs and behaviors into alignment, developing consistency without perfectionism, and recognizing evidence of genuine change.
Finally, Silence, Solitude & Discernment quiets the journey. Participants learn the difference between hearing and listening, identify competing voices, remove unnecessary noise, and develop a mature process for discerning God’s voice through Scripture, wisdom, godly counsel, spiritual fruit, and patient testing.
The six-month Myrrh Season culminates in The Crossover—a time to look back at what has been surrendered, healed, interrupted, replanted, and transformed before stepping into the next stage of Esther’s preparation: The Fragrance Season.
Crowned in Glory is not simply a workbook to complete. It is an invitation to become intentional about the woman who is emerging through the hidden work.
The myrrh is not the end of the story. It is preparation for what comes next.
