Book Synopsis
History began at Creation. When we study world history we have to begin with the Bible. In the book of Genesis we are given four major events that are signposts in the Bible that give us a framework for determining the age of the earth. These four major events would be:
Creation,
The fall of man,
Noah's Flood,
And the Tower of Babel.
The Bible also gives us a number of genealogies that record the births and the deaths of the first inhabitants on the earth. Using these four major events in the book of Genesis and counting the years from the various genealogies we can determine very accurately the age of the earth. From the moment of Creation to the Tower of Babel we simply follow the genealogies that are found in scripture. God has very carefully given us a record of the first people who populated this world. By following these biblical genealogies we can easily determine the age of the earth.
