Book Synopsis
If It Weren't For Bad Luck...

Brandy Donovan is a down-on-her luck legal assistant who can’t seem to find a decent man, unlike her mother, whose only trouble is finding a man who can stay alive. Brandy’s cat, Phoenix, is her one faithful companion, and even he seems to prefer her mother’s company. One day, she finds a strange sphere in her lunch bag, and things go from bad to worse as she loses her job, her apartment is ransacked, a strange man kidnaps her, and her best friend reveals that he isn’t the man she thought he was. While Brandy’s financial situation may be so bad she can’t even finance a stick of gum, she seems to have no problem borrowing trouble.

Not as long as a standard novel, but good plot and plenty of funny situations.

Ms. Carson did it again. She wrote another amazing story that I just could not put down. This is her second book and cannot wait until she comes out with a third one. Both books that Ms. Carson wrote show her witty sense of humor. If you liked her first book, "Dead Serious," then you will love "Borrowing Trouble".
