Backroads Country

This little book is just a taste of Amboy’s, Chelatchie Prairie’s and Yacolt’s yesteryears. It’s not meant to be an exhaustive history lesson of growing up in North Clark County, Washington, or even a complete listing of eye-witness happenings. It’s some of the voices of people who lived in and around these communities through the century; it’s a collective history, with some folklore mixed in.

And for those of you who grew up in “yesteryear” in some other small town, thank you for traveling with us down the country lanes. We trust you will enjoy the journey and remember your own growing years.
