Eberhard "Ebbie" Bulach left war-torn Germany in 1951 at the age of 17 years to start a new life in the United States. He lived with his uncle and aunt in St. Paul, Minnesota. Relatives and new friends helped Ebbie assimilate into the American culture. Ebbie worked with his Uncle Gene in the concrete construction business during the spring, summer, and autumn months and worked as a machinist for Remmele Engineering during the winter months. Ebbie and his wife, Erné, built a successful construction business during his career and generously promote activities that unite German and American cultures and friendships.
