Book Synopsis
7 lbs 13 ozs is for all who desire to be mothers, moms-to-be, new mothers, seasoned mothers and males who want an insight into life as a new mother. Rose-Anne Uwague refused to accept the childbirth horror stories as the norm. She was relentless about guarding her mind and would politely end conversations that induced stress, fear or anxiety about childbirth and motherhood.

My decision to entitle this book with my son’s birth weight, 7lbs 13 ozs is a portrayal of how easily we can fall into the trap of weighing our worth and comparing our experiences to others. While we can measure weights in pounds and ounces, 7 lbs 13 ozs relates to a mindset that we should not compare ourselves to others or measure our worth against their situation. By doing so we belittle what we have.

In this book, Rose-Anne Uwague shares her genuine experience of pregnancy, delivery and life as a first time mother. The correlation of her spiritual relationship with God and being a mother kept presenting itself.
