Book Synopsis
A collection of histories and stories of people that have a connection with this wild and beautiful part of Arizona. Famous, Infamous, Farmers, Ranchers, Miners, Cowboys, Indians, Cavalry and just ordinary people that left a mark in the Arizona Desert!
Eleanor Claridge published the book on Klondyke in 1987, it was edited by Helen Ruth Cole Claridge, who said, if these histories and photographs were left unpublished much longer, they would have been lost to the world.
I compiled as much information as possible to help portray what life was like in our part of Arizona.
What a fun journey this has been. I had no idea that the Canyon had drawn together so many diverse and interesting characters into its depths. The allure of the Canyon continues to bring generations back to enjoy the coolness of the fresh underground Creek, the Animals. Memories of Long Ago Family and Friends ... and the Mystery that awaits you in ..... Klondyke and Arvaipa Canyon!
