Description: A poet, an author, and an innovator, Dreana Johnson is passionate and determined to change the world. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, she was surrounded by many things growing up: poverty, violence, and trauma. This motivated her not only to use the art of writing as an outlet, but also to become more than what she witnessed. Ms. Johnson is a first generation graduate from the University of Missouri (Mizzou) where she obtained her BA in English Literature. While on her continuous journeys to inspire those around her, Ms. Johnson resides in her hometown working with youth.
Interests: In her spare time, Johnson enjoys speaking with the youth. In addition to that, working out, listening to music, meeting new people, and spending time with loved ones keeps Johnson happy.
