Bobby Backhoe was operated by a man named Carl Careless. Carl did not take care of Bobby Backhoe. As a result, Bobby Backhoe became so sick that he could not move. Carl was eventually fired for not performing routine maintenance on Bobby Backhoe. After receiving an engine overhaul and a new paint job, Bobby Backhoe is introduced to a new operator, Charlie Clean. Charlie takes very good care of Bobby Backhoe by treating him with respect and performing regular maintenance. Charlie was the best backhoe operator Bobby had ever known. This made Bobby Backhoe very happy.
