This research intended to locate information on Alexander Dean Sr, father of Connie Lee Dean, who impressed on me to research her family. His life as a husband and father, resided in the Indian Territory of Mississippi, two-generation before his birth. The entire state of Mississippi was concerned with “Indian Territory”, that is before the Dawes Commission forced Native Americans to cede their tribal land to the U.S. government during the period of his grandparents. According to his death certificate and the informant—his wife, Elnora Wilson– Dean his father's name was T.A. Dean (Thomas Alexander).
