Age 789: Goku is turned back into a child by the “Ultimate” or “Black Star” Dragon Balls, that scatter across the Galaxy after being used. Goku is therefore forced to leave on a journey to collect these Dragon Balls along with his granddaughter Pan and Trunks. The trio has already retrieved two dragon balls. However, their second ball gets stolen by the Para Para brothers who work for the mysterious dr. Mu. Hence, Dr. Mu’s plot to conquer the Galaxy with his army of Machine Mutants is revealed...

Goku is therefore forced to leave on a journey to collect these orbs, along with his granddaughter Pan and Trunks. They are joined by the robot Giru, that accidentally consumes their Dragon Radar. But upon visiting its home planet M2, Giru suddenly betrays its new companions...
