In the old north country, Dan Perkins is a nine year old boy learning life's values and traditions while living on a farm with his Ma and Pa. Dan and his folks struggle through nature's elements, and rely on each other and the land to survive the seasons. From spring through winter, Dan evolves from a boy into a young man while learning from his Pa the purpose of life's invaluable lessons.

This book started out to be a summer project after Kindergarten, to help retain what was learned that year. I also figured it would make a nice keepsake for Jakoby of our summer together. After we had worked on it for a couple months, he asked if I thought anyone would buy his little book about Nana's garden. I figured it would be a good idea to ask him why he wanted to sell it. Pretty deep thinker, that one! He said he wanted to sell it to pay for a trip to Disneyland for he and his family. Wow! Not bad for a 6 year old. So, technically challenged Nana set about to helping make his dream come true! Enjoy our little book about things in Nana's garden.
