BLACK HISTORY What inspired me to write this poems starting with SLAVERY is simple, my son is of African origin and I started asking my Mother in law where they came from and she said: ”Ivory Coast”, from there they brought us to the Dutch Colony which is Suriname, our name Weigle is a Swiss name there was a Swiss Monastery. Then we moved to America and inspiration hit me again when I visited South Carolina and I wrote the first poem of this book, “The South”. In the second chapter, The Holy Ones, we witness the ascension of average humans into the realms of the sacred and observe how divine beings mingle on Earthly planes. Confessions and Absolutions, the third chapter, is where the writer performs a psychic, open-heart surgery, airing stagnant wounds, thus releasing all that no longer serves.
