History

The objective of these writings is to give honor and stature to the approximately 25,000 men who were willing to leave their homes and families, while they subjected themselves to the tedium of repeatedly going where, they did not know, to stand ready to do, something they wished never to need to do, only to return to rest awhile so that they could do it all over again and again and again. They wear few medals, are the subjects of no individual monuments to their tireless efforts, and seek no special favors for their individual sacrifices.

This book is a compilation of the senior class group photos from Nescopeck High School (Nescopeck, PA) from 1903-1967. These photos were displayed in the main hall. Since we had “open” lunch hours and many evening school events, the whole community had these photos available to view (people frozen in an earlier time--parents, aunts and uncles, neighbors, friends, teachers, or anyone else we knew). They were never vandalized. Once the school merged with the Berwick Area School District, the photos were taken down and put into storage.
