This teaching is based on the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15: 11-32). Using the parable as a model, participants first examine: where they are (and how they got there), then they identify things they need to do personally in order to arise and walk in their calling. Symbolisms examined throughout this teaching are: the “house” = Heaven; the “field” = the church; and the “far country” = the world. In this teaching resource participants examine whether they are indeed “pressing toward the mark” from “God’s perspective”. Self-examination questions are used throughout the text so readers can walk away with a more realistic view of their standing. It is God who: sets the mark, holds the prize, and, ‘calls’- His way through Christ Jesus. When we truly are pressing toward the mark we can say as Paul that nothing shall separate us from God or His love (Ro. 8: 35-end).

This resource is based on the scripture Proverbs 4:23: "Keep thy heart with all diligence: for out of it are the issues of life” from a biological symbolical perspective. Participants examine: • the “heart” as it relates to one’s physical and mental self; • the inward parts – physical and spiritual; and, • the nervous, circulatory, and respiratory system in relation to one’s spiritual body. Participants further examine various addictions that affect our temporal bodies, and are encouraged to be “addicted to the ministry of the saints” (1 Cor. 16:15).

I have used my formulated “integrated model” of anger management for counseling many aggressive male youth (in group or individual settings). These youth (ranging from 8-19 years of age) often were referred to me for their anger control difficulties. They were usually involved in the criminal subculture or the like. Success has been attested by the community counselors or psychologists that have these youth under their portfolio umbrellas. The Lord Jesus our God sees everything that His children endure. He is The Great Physician who wants to take the broken pieces of man and bring us back into correct alignment with Him. This teaching helps the readers to understand that some things we go through in life is not necessarily about ‘us’, but rather about a ‘spiritual contract’ that has been put on our life (as in the case of Job 1:8; 2:3). It is essential that we remain hedged by God in order to finish & pass ‘the’ test – our integrity must be maintained throughout the process.
