This book reproduces two decks of letterpress printed cards by Stuart Bradley and the Railway Station Press. Both decks used characters drawn from the Midway of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair / Columbian Exposition. The type foundry BB&S sold these small printers ornaments. In 2008 Stuart Bradley scanned these small images and had Owosso in Michigan manufacture two inch high copper dies of all 35 characters. He then printed a limited edition of one hundred decks of playing cards using 14 of the characters.
